Media Assets
Use Media Assets to manage the selected company’s shared images, documents, and other files that can be linked to products, product groups, catalogs, categories, or the company profile.
Media assets are stored once and reused. This avoids uploading the same document or image many times and lets Actualog show where a file is used.
What the page is for
Use Company Workspace → Media Assets when you need to:
- upload company-owned product images, documents, certificates, manuals, or marketing files;
- search and filter assets;
- review asset metadata and previews;
- select assets for bulk operations;
- see where an asset is used;
- link assets to products or other supported entities from their edit pages;
- delete assets that are no longer needed and are safe to remove.
Upload an asset
- Select the correct company workspace.
- Open Company Workspace → Media Assets.
- Use the create or upload action.
- Choose the file and fill the required metadata.
- Save the asset.
- Link it from the product, product group, catalog, category, or company page that should use it.
Use clear names and descriptions. Hex and users can then understand whether a file is a product photo, datasheet, certificate, drawing, manual, or company profile image.
Search and filter
The list can be filtered by ownership scope, usage scope, upload date, search text, and selection state. The page loads results through the server so large media libraries can be browsed without downloading every file at once.
Asset usage
Open an asset or use usage actions to see where it is referenced. Usage can include products, product groups, categories, catalogs, or company profile placements.
Check usage before deleting an asset. Removing an asset can also remove product links to that file.
Delete an asset
Deletion is intentionally guarded. The confirmation explains that deleting an asset removes it from the media library and can remove product links to it.
If the asset is still needed by a product, replace or unlink it from the product first.
